Full day Workshop - Learn how to conduct a Gong Bath.
Are you interested in learning more about the gong? Would you like to deepen your experience in playing this profound instrument? Perhaps you’ve never played any such instrument but are curious to see if this is something you would like to invest in? This workshop is a blend of practical and theoretical, designed to deepen your relationship with the gong.
Gong Bathing is the delivery of sound, vibration and frequency to one or more individuals within a space where the client lays comfortably relaxed to receive sounds produced from one or many Gongs, to induce mind and body relaxation. An average session is around 45 minutes and clients often feel rejuvenated in this short time.
Gongs are very powerful sound healing tools which can produce a spectrum of sounds that can be heard from great distances and have been used in Asia for thousands of years and are closely associated with Kundalini Yoga for their known ability to deeply affect our energy centres (chakras), meridians and subtle energy bodies.
Different types of gongs produce different sounds and are very effected by not only how they are played but also the tools used to play them, making them very versatile in a gong bath or healing setting and the big sounds they produce mean group gong baths are a very powerful experience for those attending.
In a gong bath, the tones and frequencies relax the mind and body and the parasympathetic nervous system is engaged, releasing tension, lowering the heart rate and blood pressure and triggering the body’s natural healing ability into action. Similarly, in a 1-1 healing the gong can be used intuitively to direct the sound into areas of imbalance within the client to rebalance them holistically.
A truly non-invasive, holistic medium for health and well-being as the body intelligently goes to work on the areas of imbalance within the client who is fully clothed throughout and often under a blanket for maximum comfort and relaxation.
